What our training does and does not do.

Educational purpose only
RideWise Cert provides educational rider-safety training for electric bicycles and electric scooters. Our courses, videos, checklists, quizzes and certificates are educational materials.
Completing our training does not guarantee accident prevention, injury prevention, or any specific outcome. Riding carries inherent risk that education can reduce but cannot eliminate.
Not a government license or approval
RideWise Cert does not represent government licensing, permitting, endorsement or approval unless separately authorized in writing by the relevant authority.
A RideWise certificate is not a driver's license, riding permit or legal authorization to operate any vehicle.
Local laws always control
Laws governing e-bike classes, speed limits, helmet requirements, sidewalk riding, minimum age and equipment vary by country, state, province and city, and they change.
Our training does not replace the laws where you ride. You are responsible for knowing and following your local rules.
Physical readiness and equipment
Do not attempt maneuvers described in the course beyond your physical ability, in unsafe locations, or on equipment in poor condition. Practice emergency skills in a controlled area away from traffic.
Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for your specific e-bike, scooter, battery and charger.
No liability for rider decisions
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RideWise Cert is not liable for injury, death, property damage, citations or losses arising from riding decisions, equipment failure, third-party conduct or road conditions.
